Opened in September, 2006, don't let our young age fool you! Our staff has over 50 years combined experience in the medical & skin care professions.

We are a medispa located in Lexington, KY. Our friendly staff will be happy to help you make the correct choices in attaining a fresher, healthier complexion. In addition to traditional spa facial services, we also offer medical treatments such as Botox, Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse, Lipodissolve, laser treatments many more. Medical Director

Christopher Alan Marek, M.D.

Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Marek graduated from the college of William and Mary with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. Four years later, he graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and finished his plastic surgery residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Marek owns Central Kentucky Plastic Surgery in Danville, Kentucky where he specializes in pediatric craniofacial and cleft lip and palate surgery. Some of his other clinical interests are aesthetic surgery, body contourig, and ear reconstruction.

We are honored Dr. Marek has come aboard as our medical director here at skin solutions Medical Spa.

Christy McCoy MSN, ARNP, Nurse Practitioner

Christy is a native of Lexington with more than 15 years in health care. She has been a Registered Nurse for 15 Years, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner for 8 Years and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the Amercian Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

She has received Botox & dermal fillers training by Allergan sponsored trainer, Aesthetic Advancements, in Atlanta, GA. To stay on the cutting edge of technology in treatment advances, she has participated in numerous continuing education programs. In addition to licensure continuing education requirements, she has attended the International Esthetics & Spas Convention on several occasions and the Medical Spa Summit meetings.

She is a certified provider of Palomar's Pulsed-Light System, used for permanent hair reduction, photorejuvenation, acne and vascular treatments. In addition to the technological trainings, she has been extensively educated in regard to facial products and procedures.

Her newest procedural training has been in the revolutionary new treatment for body sculpting of targeted areas of fat, Lipodissolve.

Jennifer Hardin, Skin Care Specialist

Jennifer received Botox & dermal fillers training by Allergan sponsored trainer, Aesthetic Advancements, in Atlanta, GA. She has attended the International Esthetics Spa Convention on several occasions and the Medical Spa Summit Meetings. She is a certified provider of Palomar's Pulsed-Light System, used for permanent hair reduction, photo rejuvenation, acne treatments and vascular treatments. In addition to the technological trainings, she has been extensively educated in regard to facial products and procedures.

Jennifer brings an added dimension to skin care from her prior practice as a dietician/nutritional specialist. Our skin is a living organ that can reflect what is going on inside our bodies. Jennifer can help guide you in your journey to healthier skin through nutrition.

Our weight management program is geared around living well, feeling good and being energized. She has been instrumental in helping develop this program.

Tiffin Plaisted, Medical Esthetician

Tiffin has been an esthetician for over 10 years. She initially worked as a Corporate Esthetics Trainer for multiple Medispas. Most recently, she was in Atlanta where she worked for a Plastic Surgeon as his managing esthetician. She is certified in Laser Hair Removal and IPL Photofacials/Photorejuvenation. She specializes in Microdermabrasion, Medical Grade Chemical Peels as well as a variety of customized facials. In addition, she is a makeup artist. She has worked freelance for Chanel, Lancome, Prescriptives and currently GloMinerals.

We are excited to introduce the newest edition to the Skin Solutions family, Kaylan Aubrey. Kaylan is a recent graduate from BCTCS Estheticics Program. She is a Kentucky State Boards Licensed Esthetician. She is looking forward to bringing fresh ideas to our practice.

She has been in the skin care industry for over 3 years working with Skin Ceuticals and GloMineral products. She specializes in Microdermabrasion, Medical Grade Chemical Peels, Laser treatments and has been trained by GloMinerals experts for make-up artistry. She can customize a skin care program for any skin type. Kaylan has a passion for acneic skin, as she battled acne for years. Carey Sanders, RN

Carey has been in the nursing profession since 1993 graduating from the University of Kentucky with a BSN. Her background includes surgery, ICU, and PACU care. In 1999, she transitioned into pharmaceutical sales and consumer healthcare for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. During the later years of her Wyeth career, she specialized in nutritionals.

Carey's passion is for health and well-being. She brings her past nutritional expertise to our weight management program. Carey also assists with injectable procedures, and is educated in the Theraderm and Skin Ceuticals product lines.
